Final Thoughts

I took this class and CIS 149 to get a better understanding of web design. I tried several layouts during the semester that did not work out well at all. I tried Adobe
Dreamweaver and watched a lot of tutorials how to use it. I went back to my favorite text editor, Sublime. I wanted to create a newspaper-esque layout, but I had to
have been missing code somewhere since it never worked right. I tried to style my CSS better, but a lot of the items were all over the place. I tried using headers
and a logo but I could not get that positioned correctly. Ultimately, I tried a background image as a cover photo, which did work after tweaking the code several dozen times.

There was new code I had to learn that took a couple of minutes to learn to a few days. There were styles I liked for a few days, then added more to the body
and changed the overall look of it again. I realized the style had to change with the call of action I was asking the readers for as well as invoking
emotions. For CIS 149, I wanted to invoke bright white with some pops of color to promote positivity and a feeling of happiness.
For this particular website, the home page is a bit darker with the wood for texture, but the plants on the subsidiary pages make it seem fun and
fresh. I think sometimes the more simplistic styles often say the most.

Steve Jobs Quote

Steve Jobs has it correct. This class taught me to think. I do not have the answers to some of my previous layouts yet, but with daily practice,
I will. I am glad I took these classes. I learned the material as best as I could and researched anything I did not understand.
I read the book a lot of websites for added information. CIS 148 & 149 also taught me to have a lot of patience with my code.
After all, Rome wasn't built in a day!
