Meet Cinnamoroll!

Cinnamoroll is a little white pup with large ears that give him the power of flight! Born high up in the clouds on March 6th, he eventually made his way down to earth and now lives in a cafe called Café Cinnamon. A sweet and shy little guy, but still very friendly, Cinnamoroll easily became the mascot of Café Cinnamon. His namesake comes from the fact that his tail is plump and curled, just like a cinnamon roll.

In his free time, Cinnamoroll likes to go on adventures and eat cinnamon rolls at the cafe. Sometimes, he even naps in the laps of customers! More often than not though, you can find Cinnamoroll’s head in the clouds (both literally and figuratively!) as he loves to fly and daydream.

History

Cinnamoroll was created by Miyuki Okumura for Sanrio in 2001. His original name was just “Cinnamon”, but to avoid copyrights overseas, his name was changed to “Cinnamoroll”. He made his first debut in the manga Fluffy, Fluffy Cinnamoroll, which ran for 5 volumes. He was voted the most popular character in the 2022 “Sanrio Character Popularity Poll”, run by Sanrio Japan.
