How much did you know about the subject of Internet Publishing before you started this course? Had you ever done any similar kind of work in the past?

Before taking this class, I had some experience with website creation using a program called "Oracle". It was for a class I took at ECC a few years ago, but I can't remember what the class was called. Other than that, I had no previous experience with this kind of work.

How would you explain the course to someone else?

I would say it's learning the fundamentals and essentials for creating a functional website using HTML/CSS.

Describe at least two things you learned or discovered through completing the assigned activities.

One of the most important things I have learned through our assignments is the basic formatting for this particular computer language. Also, through trial and error, I was able to learn firsthand how to overcome some of the more common and easy-to-make mistakes of HTML/CSS programming after encountering them.

What personal knowledge and skills did you discover or acquire during this experience that will assist you in your future endeavors?

Besides general HTML/CSS knowledge and skills, I learned about some of the skills/knowledges' applications, as well as, potential future applications. I also learned more about buying, holding, and trading domain names as commodities. I've known only a little about the practice, but after learning more about it from discussion research, I found it to be really interesting. It may be something I might try as a personal side project.

What problems have you encountered while working on assignments? How did you solve them?

I didn't run into many problems besides minor syntax errors. Thankfully, if I did run into any problems that were not corrected via careful proofreading, I was always able to locate examples and walkthroughs in our course materials that would help me solve any other issues.

What resources have you used while working on assignments in this course? Which ones were especially helpful? Which ones would you use again?

I found that Khan Academy and the module guides were the best resources in regards to coming to understand some of the more difficult learning materials. Personally, I really enjoyed the Khan Academy platform. Besides it being fun and engaging, It was by far one of the best methods to teach any sort of programming language I have ever had the pleasure of using. I loved how it taught lessons as if you were screen sharing with the instructor and allowed you to simultaneously add your own code while seeing how your changes affected the overall outputs in realtime. Its almost upsetting that this was the only programming class that I've had out of all of them that utilized this platform.
