Where to start, prior to taking this course, I had little to no knowledge about web publishing. I knew the basics of it, such as code was involved and that you needed a lot of free time to be able to create a webpage, because what I have noticed is that it takes a lot of practicing and editing to end up with a web page that you like. I have taking a couple of prior CIS curses in ECC, but we really never got into web publishing. Now being more than half way done with the course, I can say that I have learned more than I really thought I would, especially because this is my first online course, and I always had my thoughts about taking online courses, since i was so used to going to school and physically sitting in a classroom and learning that way, But so far I can say that I have regrets taking this online course since so far all I have gotten is valuable information that can definitely help me out in the near future.
Having to explain this course to someone else, would be fairly easy, it is a course that teaches you the process of publishing content on the internet. It consist of creating webpages, and posting blogs online. You have the option of publishing anything you want such as text, images, videos, and other types of media. The, to publish your creations, you simply need three things, a web development software, an internet connection, and a web server. The we development software may consist of a program called Dreamweaver, or simple program such as WordPress. And the internet connection serves the purpose of being able to uploading your content to the web server. And it's simple as that, it is a course that takes some time to learn and get down, but once you understand the material, you have such a great level of knowledge, that can help you publish virtually anything to the internet. Therefore, anyone with the three requirements above can be a web publisher.
I have learned dozens of things throughout the course so far, but one of the things that I have learned to master, patience that is one of the things that I have notice that I personally need to get through the course. There is so much to take in the course, that there is times that have to constantly have to go back to the notes, and review in order to get through the homework assignments. Especially when I have finished the code and only to find out when I launch my webpage, that I have to back and re do the code because it didn't work. The CSS styling, is one of the things that I have learned, and though to be very cool, the endless ay you can style your webpages, is mind-blowing to me. Although I'm not a professional at it yet, I feel like I have learned the fundamentals so that I can have a solid structure of the material. And that knowledge is only grow as time goes on.

I'm a person who has had a hard time dealing with patience, I have been a very inpatient person all of my life, and this course has helped me overcome that, I like to get things fast and in an efficient way, and this course is the complete opposite of that. It is a course that takes some time to learn, and be an pro at it. I can't remember all of the time where I will be doing assignments, and I have to back reference the notes to be able to get it right. And having to back and fix the code for the webpage, because it didn't work the first time. But knowing that it take time to back and review the material, and having the webpages work, it really make me feel like I have done something right, even though it took me a long time to get it right. I know that this course will definitely help me accomplish thing in the future, since I am going toward the path of technology as my major. Although web publishing will not be my main focus for my career, it has thought me great information that one day will come in handy.
Having to refer back to the notes or having to go back to the module to see if I left out any important information about the assignment. There are times where the assignments in Khan Academy can be somewhat hard to complete and the websites really doesn't help figure where exactly you made the mistake, and it sometimes really doesn't point you to the right direction when having to fix thing in the code. So what I do is I simply do my research in Google, there is a lot of great websites that really do a great job in explaining the proper steps in using the properties correctly in HTML.
I have really come to like Khan Academy, although it sometimes doesn't really help you fix your mistakes, or point you to the right direction, it does a great job in explaining the material. Their I times where I have to go and about my way to find the help that I need to get through assignments. There are many good websites out there that I have used to help me get through some of the assignment's, but the one website that I found myself to back to is www.w3schools.com it's a great websites that explain the properties in full detail, and shows many examples on how the HTML property can be used. I can definitely see myself going back to in the future just because it not only explains HTML properties, it also covers many different other programming that I have taken courses on.
