This is a list of my favorite quotes. Majority of these quotes are from the comic book and cartoon adaptation of One Piece by Eiichiro Oda.

  • Whether we wound or are wounded, the blood that flows is red. ― Eiichiro Oda
  • In the world of one piece, there are different races around this time there are 14 confirmed races from Humans to Fishman and Minks. The majority of Fishman hate humans due to the fact that humans capture and sell Fishman as slaves to nobles and the celestial dragons (descendants of twenty kings who made the world government of one piece). In the world of one piece, it is confirmed that both fish-man and Humans share the same blood. So this quote basically tells us that it doesn't matter what race or what kind of position of power you are in we all still have the same type of blood. In the real world, this still applies to us humans.

  • Pirates are evil? The Marines are righteous?... Justice will prevail, you say? But of course, it will! Whoever wins this war becomes justice! ― Eiichiro Oda
  • I am a big history buff so when I first read this quote I automatically knew it was true. Basically, in one piece there was a giant war between the marines and the legendary pirate group the Whitebeard pirates. Basically, the character Donquixote Doflamingo talks about whoever wins that war will become new rulers and will say what is right and wrong. In history, this will always be the case. Some examples are basically world war II, just imagine in another parallel universe where the Axis powers won World War II, how different things would have been. The axis powers would have easily claimed that things like the only Aryan race are superior, and the rest of races and ethnicities would have been executed or put in camps as they did to the Jews, homosexuals and Gypsies.

  • “When does a man die? When he is hit by a bullet? No! When he suffers a disease? No! When he ate a soup made out of a poisonous mushroom? No! A man dies when he is forgotten!” ― Eiichiro Oda
  • Albert Einstein, Abraham Lincoln, Adam Smith, John Lennon, Steve Jobs and Jesus of Nazareth (may or may not be real). All of these people have done their stuff to influence our history in their own way. Even after their death, they are still remembered till this day. Even after they died there will still pass on and it will still pass on to future generations.

    My favorite movie: Amadeus (1984)

The reason that I love this movie is that it is about one of my favourite composers, the one and only king of classical music: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This movie gives you a sense of reality that not every important people in history and celebrities aren't always the same person that you see on TV or read about. When I say Mozart I imagine an upstanding genius who is serious all the time. This movie claimed that he was a very immature person who never takes anything (besides music) serious. Which is not far from reality Mozart had composed a canon named "Leck mir den Arsch Fein rech Schon Sauber" (Lick my ass right well and clean), he also used to send letters to a cousin of his making a lot of toilet humour. Just imagine meeting your favourite celebrity and acting really a different way than you expected. The other thing that I like about this movie is that it is also surprisingly accurate for a movie about a famous person and historical events. The only big thing that the movie got wrong was that Antonio Salieri hated Mozart. In real life, Salieri loved Mozart and Salieri was more beloved by everyone and was called the best musician at the time. When I finished this movie it inspired me to watch movies about historical events and do research to see how accurate it is (so far 12 years a slave, Apollo 13 and Schindler's List are the most accurate. The most inaccurate are Disney's Pocahontas, Apocalypto, Shakespeare in love, 10,000 B.C, and pretty much everything that Mel Gibson is involved with).
